English: St. John the Baptist's Church consists of an older rectangular church and a latter added chancel. The older church has the rare feature of two south windows. It has been argued that the more western south window served to light baptisms while the more eastern one, as usual, gave light to the altar. See Tomás Ó Carrragáin: Churches in Early Medieval Ireland, ISBN 978-0-300-15444-3, p. 205–206.
