English: St. John's in the Village is an Episcopal church located at 220 West 11th Street at the corner of Waverly Place in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1972-1974, replacing a Greek Revival sanctuary on the same site which burned down in 1971. The design of the new building by Edgar Tafel combines modernism with evocations of the Greek Revival style. The church is located within the Greenwich Village Historic District.
