English: St. John's in the Village was an Episcopal church located at 220 West 11th Street at the corner of Waverly Place within the Greenwich Village Historic District of Manhattan, New York City. The Greek Revival sanctuary was built in 1846 and burned down in 1971; it was replaced by a church designed by Edgar Tafel, which combines modernism with evocations of the Greek Revival style.
