English: The Ständehaus, erected between 1820 and 1822, housed the Ständeversammlung, the Estates Assembly of the Grand Duchy of Baden, between 1822 and 1918, and the Landtag of the Republic of Baden between 1919 and 1933. Damaged in 1944 in an Allied air raid the building was removed in 1961, but replaced by a resembling new construction housing the city library, built in between 1991 and 1993.
