English: The 26-foot Spirit of Freeport made the first Trans-Atlantic crossing with outboard motors, starting from Nova Scotia August 1, 1985, with fisherman and boatbuilder ("Groverbuilt" boats) Al Grover, Sr. & his son Al Grover, Jr. completing a leg to the Azores, then Al Sr. and another son Dante Grover resuming September 3, 1985 continuing on to Europe.
Now on permanent display on the Esplanade of the Nautical Mile, Freeport, Long Island, New York.
