English: Sperre 2313 – Schöllenen/Urnerloch

The entrance to the Schöllenenschlucht is a good checkpoint. This was recognized early on and the site was fortified accordingly. Around 20 objects were part of this barrier. Many elements have already been dismantled (for example the gates in the Urner Loch or the bars below the old Devil's Bridge).

However, some have been preserved, such as Fort Bühl - one of the first works of this type on the European mainland (rock work), but whose appearance has changed due to modernization. The long history and location make the Schöllenen barrier particularly interesting. In addition to the Bühl artillery works, the Bäzberg and Stöckli and later Gütsch artillery works are also part of the large Andermatt defense area.
