English: Solari's was long a well known business in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Founded as a grocery store in 1864, it developed a reputation for imported and gourmet food; it moved to iconic location in a multi-story building at the downtown lake corner of Royal & Iberville in the French Quarter in 1870, and became known as one of the top gourmet food shops in the nation. Modernization and further expansion at this location in the 1920s. Developers bought the building and evicted Solari's in 1961. Solari's attempted to reestablish at other locations with mixed results until closing business in 1965.
