Silvertone was the brand name used by Sears for their line sound equipment and musical instruments from the 1915 to 1972.

Silvertone brand first used on Sears' phonographs in 1915; in the 1920s radios were added. The "Silvertone" brand subsumed the Supertone] brand for musical instruments in the 1930s; perhaps their best known products being their line of well made and inexpensive guitars; the brand became popular with novice musicians.

In 2001, the rights to the Silvertone brand were purchased by South Korean corporation Samick Music.[1] Samick made new musical instruments under the Silvertone brand and relaunched some historic models.

In 2020, RBI Music, a division of Rhythm Band Instruments, LLC., was appointed the exclusive worldwide distributor of the Silvertone brand,[2] and in December 2021, RBI acquired all rights to the brand.[3]
