Statue of an actor in the costume of Old Silenus, a famous member of the troupe, and teatcher of Dionysus. He is holding a drum and an almost empty skin of wine. His features recall depictions of Socrates. Late 2nd (or 2nd -1st ?) century BC. Found in 1904 in the temple of Dionysus. Archaeological Museum of Delos, A 04123. (In the statue's pedestal is the inscription MCDXXVIII.)
