English: These modern gates in authentic period style are located on either side of Thousand-Buddha Hall connecting with the buildings on either side to form a courtyard before the hall. They do not lead outside the compound, only to the space between the Hall and the ancient north enclosure wall, which remains unpierced. The space is used for parking and other utilitarian purposes.
