History
- 06.10.1881: Launched.
- 31.12.1881: Registered.
- 05.01.1882: Left her builders as Shannon for The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company.
- 19.01.1882: Maiden voyage from London to Sydney, though in fact she spent more of her time on the Bombay run.
- 23.05.1884: Re-measured. 4,077 grt, 2,050 nrt, deadweight 3,899 tons. 163 first class and 58 second class passenger capacity, Cargo capacity 3,311 cubic metres
- 23.01.1896: In collision with the powder hulk Thalia off Royal Albert Dock, London but without significant damage.
- 1898: A case of plague was reported aboard.
- 1900: Was to have been sold, but the deal collapsed and she was laid up in Victoria Dock.
- 07.1901: Sold at auction for £10,706 to Essafji Tajbhoy Borah, Bombay, and reported renamed Procter
- 12.1901: Sold to shipbreakers at Bombay.
