Sgorr Bhogachain is the main ridge of a complex of elevations termed The Sgurr, including a summit and subsidiary hills, located in central east Islay to the east of the relatively flat Glenegedale. Adjoining the north of the Sgurr is Loch Leathann an Sgòrra; the south, Loch Uigeadail. Drainage of the Sgurr is to the west through tributaries of the Machrie River, which empties into Laggan Bay south of Islay Airport..
