English: Mosaic integrated by approximately 15,000 small turquoise incrustations. There are seven characters dressed as warriors on the outer strip, which are related with two dieties linked to celestial elements fundamental for the Aztec religion: Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli ("The Lord of the Place of the House of Twilight"), associated with Venus, and Mixcoatl ("Cloud Serpent"), associated with the Milky Way. It was discovered in 1994, during the excavations which took place under the building known as Casa de las Ajaracas, on the corner of Republica de Argentina and Republica de Guatemala. The finding corresponds to Phase VI of the Templo Mayor, dated on the years 1486-1502 AD. The object is the result of a laborous work of the Restorer Maria Eugenia Marin-Benito."
