English: A sea cairn is a navigational aid, usually in the form of a pile of stones painted white. Sea cairns are common in Scandinavia, with its labyrinthic archipelagoes. They are still indicated in the sea charts and maintained as part of the marking system, although without any formal function.
Svenska: Kummel är sjömärken, traditionellt i form av vitmålade stenhögar, numera ibland av betongringar eller vita skivor.
