- English: The controversial Scout Borromeo Street–NIA South Road Footbridge (or NIA South Road–Scout Borromeo Street Footbridge) which crosses over EDSA just south of its intersections with Scout Borromeo Street to the west and NIA South Road to the east. It gained controversy upon its inception in late 2018 after netizens took note of its seemingly-unsafe design for people with special needs, elderly people, and persons with disabilities. It earned the moniker "stairway to heaven." Authorities defended the bridge, pointing out the need for a very high footbridge just to cross over the at-grade portion of the MRT–3 and its accompanying cables. Slight tweaks were made in response to the criticisms: the addition of landings and installation of solar-powered lamp poles.[1][2]
