Roman fresco from Pompeii (VII, 3, 30) now in the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Naples (inv. nr. 9071). Commonly indicated as a baker sells his bread, in reality it is a donation of bread, probably made for personal propaganda and political purposes, because the man wears a toga, so he is not a baker, and certainly not a humble person.
