The restaurant first opened in August 1936 as Moser's Ice cream store, which also operated as a soda fountain. Owned by Lincoln Moser and his wife Mildred, Moser had begun in the ice cream business in the 1920s working at the Eck & Fisher Ice Cream plant at 13th and Liberty Street. He also operated a food concession stand at the Allentown Fair before opening the store. Moser and his wife retired in 1962.
It was then taken over by Norene and James Solito, who continued to operate it as an ice cream parlor, but It quickly expanded its menu to include hamburgers, french fries, steak sandwiches and pizza. In October 1985, the restaurant was sold to Daniel Ellenberger, the owner of J's Steaks & Subs.
In 1999 the Round House closed and the building completely renovated and remodeled and became Bellissimo's Ristorante, selling Brick Oven Pizza. Although expanded with a new exterior, the original Round House building remains visible in aerial photography.
