English: Romsdal was an iron-hulled, four-masted ship built in 1877 by Robert Steele & co, Greenock. Dimensions: 84,04×12,51×7,13 meters [275'9"×41'1"×23'5"]. Tonnages 1,887 GRT and 1,827 NRT. Rigged with royal sails above double top and single topgallant sails. 2 November 1891 foundered in a tropical cyclone in the Gulf of Bengal.[1][2][3]
