English: Rock Camps for Girls (alternatively: Rock 'n' Roll Camps for Girls or Girls Rock Camps) are summer camps/day camps for girls and young women aged 8-12 to 18 learning to express themselves by means of rock music. The concept originated in the riot grrrl movement. The first Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls was held in 2001 in Portland, OR. In 2007, seven organisations founded the international Girls Rock Camp Alliance (GRCA), which represented more than 30 member organisations from the US, Canada and Europe in 2011.
