English: Ri Sol-ju or Ri Sol Ju (Korean: 리설주; born January 1985 or 1989) is the wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. North Korean state media officially identified her as "his wife, Comrade Ri Sol Ju" until April 2018, when her title was elevated from merely "comrade" to "respected first lady". This was considered a significant honor, as it was the first time the title has been used since 1974.
