Built in 1921 as a trolley bus depot, closed in 1931. Used by Airspeed Ltd, founded by Nevil Shute Norway, better known as the author Nevil Shute, for the building of gliders and aeroplanes until the firm left York in 1933. The site was then let to Reynard’s of York, who ran the Lion Bus Service and also started one of York’s first car-hire firms. The building fell into disuse and was demolished in 2015.
