Català: La col·lecció de pintura romànica del Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya preserva una important quantitat de frescos originals de les esglésies del Pirineu Occidental, especialment del conjunt d'esglésies de la vall de Boí, declarades Patrimoni de la Humanitat. Al llarg del segle XX s'han realitzats repliques d'aquestes obres per a col·locar-les a les ubicacions de procedència per tal de restituir l'aspecte original que tenien les esglésies abans d'extreure-li els frescos.
English: The Romanesque painting's collection from the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya preserves a significant number of original frescoes from the churches in the Western Pyrenees, especially from the Romanesque Churches of the Vall de Boí recognized as World Heritage Site. Throughout the XX century a replicas of these works are being placed at the locations they come from in order to restore the original look that had churches before removing the frescoes.
