In Turkish reçel is a fruit preserve (jam) with entire fruits or fruit preserves. It is never confused with marmelat (marmalade) made with fruits turned into a paste, without any visible pieces. Note: The word is also used in some Balkan countries, see: File:Reçel me manafera.JPG
