A raised pedestrian crossing is one that is raised above the normal road surface to slow down vehicle traffic for the safety of pedestrians crossing at that location. They may or may not give the pedestrians right of way against vehicles (this depends on local traffic rules, and whether or not a facility like a :Category:Zebra crossing is combined with the raised crossing).

Raised pedestrian crossings are Category:Speed tables with a crossing on it. There are also speed tables that slow down vehicle traffic without being intended for use by pedestrians to cross the road (for example this one).
