The Race Street Underpass carries Race Street in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the Delaware Expressway (I-95) to connect with N. Christopher Columbus Blvd. to the east. It underwent a renovation in 2011 which included the installation of a visual artwork -- a lighted screen (which can be seen under the elevated roadway) which shows abstracted images of the river using live cameras -- as well as decorative fencing on the south side of the street, with oversized lettering which is lit at night by lights that change color. Further work on the north side is planned.
