English: Routemaster bus RML2699 (reg. SMK 699F) was delivered to London Transport in July 1967. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. in 1992 it recieded branding for route 10. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of MTL London (ex-London Northern). In 1996 it suffered accident damage, with the rear being rebuilt using parts from the MTL owned RM class bus RM1287 (which was already missing an engine, and whose remains were then scrapped). On rebuild it received an allover red livery, but by 1998, after the purchase of MTL London by Metroline, it recieved their blue-white band and skirted livery. It remained in service until being withdrawn in March 2004, latterly allocated to Willesden Garage (code AC). It was immediately bought by The Bus Doctor Ltd and shortly repainted into 1992 pre-privatisation 'London Buses' roundel livery by Arriva at Watford. It has since 2004 been used by the Swanley, Kent based public transport and private hire company Go Coach Hire for use as a private hire vehicle, while also appearing at rallies and special events, and even on one of their public transport routes, the 420.
