English: Routemaster bus RML2405 (reg. JJD 405D) was delivered to London Transport in Jan 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of Centrewest (which later became First Centrewest). From March to January 2003 it wore a gold livery (using vinyls) as one of several buses so treated as a celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Elizabeth II. By July 2004 it was withdrawn from service, having latterly been allocated to Westbourne Park (X) garage for route 7. Two months later it was purchased by Ensignbus, who immediately returned it to gold livery for the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Routemaster. This scheme was finished with white Ensignbus fleetnames, red fleetnumbers, and with the Routemaster 50 logo applied on the side mid-deck toward the front. While in this livery it appeared on the last day runs on route 12, 36 and on the Enthusiast Day (8 Dec 2005) for the last route, the 159. It was returned to red livery (Ensignbus fleetnames) in July 2007.
