English: Routemaster bus RM1859 (reg. 859 DYE) was delivered to London Transport in February 1964. It saw use in London until withdrawal in July 1984. From April 1987 it was loaned to St. John Ambulance, who purchased it outright in July 1988. In November 1994, it was bought for further public transport use in the Reading Mainline fleet (17), going into service in July 1995 after a repaint and refurbishment. After being withdrawn in March 1998, it was sold into preservation. Still wearing its Mainline identity, it has since been used as a vintage private hire vehicle in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire by the Past Time Bus company.
