English: Ma'alot R' Y. Badhav : Badhab (Badhav, Isaac; 1859–1947), rabbi and scholar. Born in Jerusalem, Badhab devoted his life to collecting old Hebrew books and manuscripts and amassed a large library, which included valuable documents and records of Jerusalem and the Land of Israel from members of the old families of the Holy City. Badhab also published manuscripts on a wide range of topics, including halachah and aggadah, philosophy, poetry, folklore, and Kabbalah. Bahran (Baharan, Shlomo Zalman; 1838-1910), Jerusalem rabbi and public official who was one of the driving forces behind the building of the Me'a Shea'rim neighborhood.
