English: The Public Safety Building in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Designed by LM Architectural Group, the building was completed in 1966. By the 2010s, the concrete facade was crumbling and the building has had to be evacuated more than once due to poor inside air quality. The Winnipeg Police Service is expected to relocate in 2013, and the future of the building is uncertain. In 2014, City of Winnipeg staff issued a report recommending that the municipality spend $275,000 to study the future of the building, including a possible $40-million rehabilitation. The building was demolished due to safety concerns and as of 2024 the site is set for redevelopment.
