English: Prince George's Plaza ("PG Plaza"), the original incarnation of the shopping mall in Hyattsville, Maryland, as an open-air shopping plaza. Hecht's opened a department store on November 2, 1958, followed by a Grand Union supermarket on December 17, 1958. The first renovation in the late 1970s included the enclosure of the plaza. Its name was officially changed to The Mall at Prince Georges on November 16, 2004, in conjunction with the center's fourth makeover. — Mall Hall of Fame • Greater Greater Washington
