English: Prasthan is a semi-annual offshore security exercise conducted by the Indian Navy's Western Naval Command, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. It is typically held at offshore facilities such as oil rigs. Mock drills to address various contingencies such as asymmetric threat (terrorist action), oil spill, casualty evacuation and fire are conducted on the offshore platform.
