English: Powerscourt Bridge is a covered bridge over the Châteauguay River, between Elgin and Hinchinbrooke. Built in 1861, it is the oldest covered bridge in Canada. It is the only remaining McCallum inflexible arched truss bridge in the world. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984, and classified heritage immovable by the province of Quebec in 1987.
Français : Le pont de Powerscourt est un pont couvert située sur la Châteauguay entre Elgin et Hinchinbrooke. Construit en 1861, il est le plus ancien pont couvert du Canada. Il est le seul pont couvert ayant une ferme McCallum. Le pont a été désigné comme lieu historique national du Canada en 1984 et classé immeuble patrimonial du Québec en 1987.
