Main Wikipedia article: Portishead railway station.
English: Portishead railway station was opened by the Bristol and Portishead Pier and Railway in 1867. The original Portishead station closed in 1954 to be replaced by a new station nearer the town. This closed in 1964 when passenger services were withdrawn from the line. There are plans to reopen the railway line but with the station moved further from the town centre to avoid a level crossing.
