Polska Roma are the largest and oldest tribe living in Poland. The Polska Roma group was formed in the 16th century. From the mass immigration from the Holy Roman Empire German nations came the Sasytka Roma (German Saxony Gypsies) to the Polish-Lithuanian Empire. The first mention of the settled Roma was in 1401 in Poland. It was a small group that immigrated to Poland from Bohemian Silesia. Many still live in Opole, which is now part of Poland. The Sasytka Roma and the Silesian Roma (Rapaci) together Polska Roma tribe. which is divided into many subgroups. All subgroups belong to the Polska Roma tribe.
