English: The Tower is prominently situated on a point of land at the southeastern entrance to Hillsborough Bay, at the outer approach to Charlottetown harbour. It is an elegant, round-tapered, structure, shingle clad and crowned by a metal lantern. The only decorative elements are the brackets supporting the lantern deck. Four windows are vertically banked on the sloping west wall. The tower has a white painted exterior while the lantern and doorway are painted red. The designation is confined to the footprint of the building.

Français : La tour est située bien en vue sur une avancée de terre à l’entrée sud-est de la baie Hillsborough, sur l’approche extérieure du port de Charlottetown. Il s’agit d’une élégante structure circulaire au fût conique, revêtue de bardeaux et chapeautée par une lanterne en métal. Les consoles qui soutiennent la plateforme de la lanterne en sont les seuls éléments décoratifs. Quatre fenêtres alignées verticalement percent le mur ouest incliné. L’extérieur est peint en blanc tandis que la lanterne et l’encadrement de la porte sont rouges. La désignation se limite au tracé au sol du bâtiment.
