English: The listed Plummery Wall of Reading Abbey was buried beneath the central reservation of Forbury Road when that road was widened in the 1980s and is no longer visible. A modern wall between the carriageways marks its site. The northern boundary wall of the Forbury Gardens is sometime erroneously mistaken for the Plummery Wall (not least in a photograph on the English Heritage web site) but is of Victorian origin.
