The cave paintings of Minshulay are located in an agricultural property known as Pongoya, on the left bank of the Marañón River, at 1400 meters above sea level, in the district of Chimbán, province of Chota, department of Cajamarca (Peru).
This archaeological site concentrates a large number of figures of people, animals, tools, symbols, hands and representations of experiences lived by the ancient nomads such as hunting animals, which they left as a message or memory for other people or generations, distributed on a rock wall. Along with the imprints of the hands there are some schematized characters, embodied in light red, unlike the hands represented in red or dark brown.
