English: Memorial to fire chief Eckel. First erected in 1901 at Butternut and North State Streets; moved in 1961 to Selina and Pearl; moved again in 1979 to the Fayette Firefighters Memorial Park. The Chief's words, "Come on, boys" are inscribed in its base.
