Peters Pool is a small kettle lake near Franz Josef Glacier, New Zealand, which was formed by ice melting at a glacial moraine about 200 years ago. It was named by Charlie Douglas and Arthur Paul Harper after Peter Westland, who camped here with his mother and two sisters in 1894 when he was nine years old.
