In 1906, Aladár Kármán and Gyula Ullmann planned to the pension fund of the Hungarian General Credit Bank. On the ground floor and first floor of the building, the bank's branch, ~Hermes Hungarian General Exchange Shop (Hermes Magyar Általános Váltóüzlet). In 1913 an internal transformation was made according to the plans of Alfréd Hajós and János Villányi. During World War II, the five meters high Hermes statue on the roof of the house was destroyed. From the beginning of the 1960s, the ~Builders Technical Club (Építők Műszaki Klubja) operated on the first floor. The 31st ÁÉV (abbr. Állmi Építőipari Vállalat = ~Stately Construction Company) had its head offices. Later used by OTP Bank as a computing center. Between 1992 and 2009 was abandoned/empty. Since 2009 here is the FUGA Budapest Architectural Centre. About FUGA: it is an exhibition and other events venue, bookshop and café, The FUGA was established by Budapest Chamber of Architects in 2009. - 5 Petőfi Street, Inner City, District V of Budapest.
