The Park Valley inn was a roadhouse/restaurant located on Route 222 in Wescoesville, just to the southwest of Allentown.
The business began as the Strohl Inn in 1927. It was one of several stops for motorists along the new Reading Pike, now known as Route 222 between Allentown and Reading built during the early days of automobile motoring. For years it was a marginal business, being bought and sold many times. It was sold and became the Shadowland Restaurant in February 1930; it became Eddie's Casino briefly in October 1935 and the Carousel in December 1936. It was purchased by Russell Peters in May 1945, who named it the Peters Hotel, and in lastly in May 1946 it was sold to John A Reisteter and it became the Park Valley Inn. He turned it over in April 1960 to Joseph Hanna, but Reisteter retained ownership.
On 24 November 1961 a fire broke out in the roadhouse, completely destroying the structure. The fire was visible for miles around. It was a complete loss and never rebuilt. The site is now a Wingate Hotel.
