English: In antiquity, a parapet enclosed the three sides of the Temple of Athena Nike on the Acropolis, and consisted of marble slabs around one meter in height. Those slabs were decorated with marble reliefs. This is North Slab VI, found in fragments throughout the 20th century. It depiicts two winged Nikai (Victories) adorning a trophy. The Nike to the left is dressed in a long chiton and stands on her tiptoes and tries to reach the trophy's top to hang a helmet. The Nike on the right is approaching the trophy, her right foot on a rock. Acropolis Museum inv. no 994, Athens Greece.
