It is the first production motor vehicle of the Panhard & Levassor brand, produced in 1891 in 30 copies. It is powered by an 817 cc V-twin engine developing 1.75 HP for a maximum speed of 12 km/h (P2C type, Daimler license). This copy belonged to the industrialist Emanuel Buxtorf who sold it to Abbé Jules Gavois, famous for having used it for 33 years before offering it to the Automobile-Club de Picardy. It is considered to be the world's oldest gasoline-powered motor vehicle still in circulation.
