Packard was an American luxury automobile marque established by James Ward Packard, his brother William, and their partner, George Lewis Weiss. The first Packard automobiles were produced in 1899, and the last true Packard in 1956, when they built the Packard Predictor their last concept car. Packard bought Studebaker in 1953 and formed the Studebaker-Packard Corporation of South Bend, Indiana. The final Packards were actually badge engineered 1958 Studebakers.

The first Packard dealership in Allentown was the Lichtenwalner Motor Company in 1922. After going out of business in 1933 during the Great Depression, Fenstermacher & Rems Company was the official new Packard dealer until it filed for bankruptcy in 1961 when Studebaker-Packard ended production in the United States.
