English: The Orange Street Friends Meeting House was built in 1832 at the southwest corner of Washington Square on Orange Street (now Manning Street) to serve the Philadelphia Monthly Meeting for the Southern District (north side of Walnut Street and southward, including Southwark, Moyamensing, and Passyunk), esablished in 1772. It replaced the Pine Street/Hill Meeting. Upon its closure in 1872, the meeting's members were transferred to the Arch Street Meeting House.
