For roadways with a typical cross-section of only one lane, meaning that it is either a one-way road or traffic must alternate right-of-way. In situations where the media includes auxiliary lanes but generally shows a typical section (such as 2-lane roadway which widens to provide a left-turn lane -- if the focus of the media is on the turn lane, treat it as a 3-lane roadway; and if not, a 2-lane). For bifurcated roadways or roadways with a wide median (generally greater than 30 feet / 10 meters), consider each direction as if an independent roadway.
