English: For 1989 Oldsmobile dropped the long standing "Delta 88" in favor of spelling out the numerals. The Eighty-Eight was also available as a Royale and a Royale Brougham model. Along with a 1992 facelift, all except the Royale labels were dropped. In 1996 there was another reshuffle, leaving the Eighty-Eight and the Eighty-Eight LS, as well as the sporting LSS model. The Eighty-Eight was discontinued in 1999, marking the end of the entire "88" range.
