Oakerthorpe Colliery Engine, a Newcomen engine built by Francis Thompson for Oakerthorpe Colliery in 1791. It was re-erected at Pentrich Colliery in 1841 then worked there until 1918. This was one of the longest working lives, 127 years, of a beam engine.
