The Andrew Norwood House – also known as the Norwood Club – at 241 West 14th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1845-47 as one of three row houses in the transitional Italianate style with Greek Revival details, at a time when 14th Street was becoming a fashionable address. This building is the only survivor of the three and was built as the home of Andrew S. Norwood, a merchant and the developer responsible for the three houses. The house has been a NYC Landmark since 1978 and on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. (Source: Guide to NYC Landmarks (4th ed.))
